Absent?

What to do when you are absent:

  1. Read the schedule (calendar) to see what you missed. (Schedules given out in class and available for download at http://www.PlanetLanham.com
  2. Check the online calendar for updates: http://www.PlanetLanham.com
  3. Get handouts that were given out in class. Handouts are in the “While You Were Out” bin located in the room and most are available for download at http://www.PlanetLanham.com
  4. Check your notebook to see if there are any assignments you need to turn in. I might have collected them while you were out.
  5. After you have checked the schedule & calendar, come to me and confirm that you have everything you missed. Show me any work that is ready to turn in just in case I collected it while you were out. Wait until an appropriate time. Inappropriate times might include: while I’m lecturing, after I’ve started class…

Making Up Work:

You are responsible for making up work. I will not come find you if you have zeroes!

  1. Once you know exactly what it is you need to make up (lab, quiz, test, etc), come to me and schedule an appointment.
  2. Come to me on the day you return to schedule an appointment! Don’t expect much if you come to me three days after your one day absence.
  3. You have as many days as your absence to make up work.
  4. If you have two days to make something up, but we can’t schedule a make up time for three days you are covered. But I can’t cover you if you do not make an appointment in the first place!
  5. Be on time for the appointment. Read the sign on the classroom door if you can’t find me.
  6. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOU RETURN TO GET YOUR WORK AND START MAKING IT UP! CONTACT ME (VIA EMAIL OR THE GUIDANCE OFFICE) TO GET YOUR WORK SO YOU CAN CATCH UP EASILY!
