Fourth Pheriod Physics Fiasco

Yes, we had a bit of what I like to call an “event” during fourth period today. Remember: cleaning supplies and electrical panels do not mix. So we missed class today waiting for someone to reset the fire alarm. No test? Yeah, right.

Here’s how it affects the fourth period folks:

  1. I gave you the chapter 30-31 take home test and scantrons before you left today, just like 3rd period.
  2. I gave you back your chapter 27 & 29 homework packets so you can study for the test on Monday.
  3. Yes, I said the test will be Monday.
  4. The take-home test is due Monday at the tardy bell.
  5. Your homework packet for ch 27 & 29 is due Monday at the tardy bell too.

Third period:
You already have the take-home test, so turn it in Monday as planned (just as 4th period will be doing).

Have a good weekend!

Lab Make-Ups: Newton’s 2nd Law

Use this web site to simulate either of the Newton’s 2nd Laws labs:

The masses that this simulation allows are different then what your lab directions specify. Modify your data table to match the simulations. (Choose your own masses)

Tutorial Sessions

There are regularly scheduled tutorial sessions for all classes at Sprayberry. Here are the times for chemistry and physics:

Physics: Every Tuesday 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., by Mr. Ciaccio in the science computer lab

Chemistry: Every Monday and Wednesday afternoon, by Mrs. Wells in room 408

My help sessions are by appointment. Once an appointment has been made I post it on the calendar.

I won’t be offended if you go to another teacher for help. Sometimes hearing the same thing from a different source causes something to click!

Bring work!

Tutorial sessions are designed to help you, not reteach something you should have been doing all along. (i.e., don’t expect to sleep in class or not do your work and get help later)

Chemistry Handouts Online

Hey Chemistry students!

Mrs. Wells is posting many of your handouts on her blog. I may put a few things in the Documents Folder on my web site, so look in both places for handouts.
