Passwords
Here are the places you’ll need passwords:
- The username and password are given out in class.
- This is a generic password for everyone.

- If you wish to either (a) leave comments to posts or (b) get more options when subscribing to email alerts, you’ll need to register with a username and password of your choosing. DO NOT USE PERSONALLY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION FOR THE USERNAME!
Suggested format: firstname_lastinitial_period (example: JohnD_4th) - Parents/Guardians: You are welcome to register! Please add “parent” (or so) to your username and then email me letting me know who you are. (ie, which student you claim) Example: JohnD_parent or JohnD_parent-of-SuzyQ
- To register for the first time, click the “Register” link on the sidebar.
TurnItIn.com
- You will need the class ID and password in order to register for the first time. You will be given these in class soon. Given out in class on 3/7/07. Go to the Documents & Downloads Folder and look for “Tour and Regitration for TurnItIn.pdf” in the projects folder.
- Next you will create a username and password of your choosing in class.
Use YOUR OWN username and password when registering for TurnItIn.com- If you do not have an email address, you may use yourfullname@PlanetLanham.com for an email address. This will not be an email address you can use, but if you lose your password you can request TurnItIn to email you a new password. It will show up in a “catch all” box on my server. Just ask me (politely) to look it up for you.
- Note: If you lose your TurnItIn.com username or password, click on “Password Help” on their main page.
